I’m a visual artist who has focused my craft on ceramics. My trajectory has been strongly influenced by the exploration of this material and its possibilities in the art world. Part of my work is deeply influenced on how humans connect and organize themselves in correspondence to nature and the animal kingdom. Subjugation, evolution and extinction overlap with memory, fragmentation and fragility. The use of ceramic seeks to metaphorically replicate said antagonism but adding material and existential frailty.
By contrast, my latest series -“Modular”- pursues to deconstruct and reverse the ceramic process. By placing moulds as centre of the dialogue they are anointed to a purer form and elevated as artwork. Investigation on porcelain and CNC technology has been crucial to achieve modern, clean and abstract forms.
